I jumped from and went onto my motorcycle to escape. My mind was reviewing the CPR and AID lessons, was to tighten up the wounds. So, I used my yellow shirt to cover up the bullet holes in my arm *this was my right arm*.

Then, when I got that done, I picked up the time warner cable remote and lifted it up in the air. It was like seeing electronic in the sky, I was trying to spell the word out, “HOSPITAL”, but, once I got to the letter “S”, it got messed up because my nails were so long. I had to start all over again, but the dream ended from there.

Try C list for a small pancake compressor about 2 hp or Costco for a kit for $180 compressor and nailer and air hose or Harbor Freight. I’m in air force right now because I get more retirement money and because it’s a more science and technology based branch so employers look at air force officers at being somewhat smarter and more tech savy than other military personel. But the army has the corps of engineers which might help me more than the air force but their just going to make me a construction worker with a gun or disable ieds all day. But I want to be deployed as soon as possible no matter what branch. I’m not sure what career I want but I know my major and I know I want a career relavent to my major.I’ve been told that one of my best options is an engineering position with a military contracted company because they hire Alot of employees who have worked with them while in service.

1. Retirement pay from the Air Force is the same as from the Marine Corps, Navy, Army, Coast Guard. Retirement pay is based on the number of retirement points accumulated over 20 years of military service which can be continuous or broken. Active duty provides one point per active duty day. Active Reserves: 4 points for two drill days, 1 point per active duty day for the two week active duty period. There is a maximum number of points that can be accumulated by Reserves in a single fiscal year (little over 90) unless mobilized for active duty.
2. If you do not have a 3.9+ GPA, neither the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, or Air Force is likely to put you into a technology job after commissioning (assuming you make it through OTS/OCS – there is a significant washout rate for all Services). Normally, the Air Force, Army, and Navy (sometimes the Marine Corps) will assign a really smart officer who has an Engineering Degree such as ME, AE, EE, Operations Research, and Physics to their Acquisition Departments to review contractor responses to Requests for Proposals. These folks usually have a Masters Degree or PHD. It is very rare that a new officer will be assigned to Acquisition which includes R&D, Developmental Test and Eval, or Operational Test and Eval with only a BS degree. You mentioned ME Techonolgy – Does this mean you will have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university? If you are an officer in the Corps of Engineers, you will be doing Engineering work not driving nails or looking for IEDs (combat engineers – a very different breed of soldier who sees combat – the Corps of Engineers rarely, if ever, see combat – a few do however usually on special assignment to solve a technical problem.

Deployment and being in the technology side – won’t happen. If for some lucky reason you get assigned to technology, you will be be working in the acquisition area. No deployments since acquisition folks don’t deploy.

If you join the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy and do not have the high GPA and MS/PHD, it is more likely that you will be assigned a classification/MOS that is needed by the Service with a high likelihood that it will have nothing to do with your degree area.

IF you get into acquisition, yes a civilian contractor may be interested in you, BUT only after you get several years experience. Most civilian contractors focus on military retirees and senior officers who leave before retirement – usually Major and above who have 10+ years experience with systems of interest to the contractor to support military contracts.
