Stanley Bostitch : N80CB - Coil Framing Nailer

Hitachi NR83A2 Framing Nailer

The NR83A2 framing nailer is another offering from Hitachi, a name we come to associate with quality tools. This framing nailgun boasts a handful of features as well as sturdy construction. The competitively light weight NR83A2 flooring nailer functions pneumatically via compressed air. The round headed nails ensure what ever your building will meet code.

The NR83A2 from Hitachi hammers home nails pneumatically from a compressed
air power source. The nail gun will fire 113-.131 gauge flooring nails between
2 inches and 3-1/4 inches. The powerful construction can tackle any type of
wood or project. The NR83A2 is built for accuracy and heavy duty use, ensuring
years of trouble free service for even the most demanding contractors or
carpenters. The nail cartridge holds between 64-70 nails depending on the nail
sizes. The angled magazine, approximately 21 degrees, allows the nailgun to fit
into almost any space.

The open nose design allows clearing jammed nails an effortless function.
The NR83A2 from Hitachi also
features a tool free depth adjustment. A catch is located near the nose of the
nail gun which allows for a quick adjustment when moving between different
woods and thicknesses. The two piece magazine is constructed of stainless
steel, and is designed for quick and easy loading of round head plastic strip
nails. The handle is covered by a surprisingly comfortable rubber grip.

The NR83A2 can be operated in one of two different modes. Firstly in an
intermittent firing mode – best suited to precision fastening. The other mode
is the continuous firing state. And when triggered, the bump action firing
method will continuously shoot nails.

Steve from the US has this to say:

“Only framing nailer I
will ever use.  Nothing is faster or more durable, nothing.”

“I have put 100,000’s of nails through my gun w/o a single problem. I
am very hard on guns, example: I will use this gun like a sledge hammer by
beating walls, holding it by the mag and swinging. People having issues with
the second stick of nails riding atop the first should know it’s probably the
nails and not the gun. There are a million different brand of nails made for
this gun and they are not all alike. There is a reason this design has been
around for 25 years, you can not build a better mouse trap. I can not stress
enough how much better this gun is compared to any other framing gun on the
market.”

This is a heavy duty option that’s great for the pressure that a contractor
will put it through, or for a lifetime of flawless use by DIY enthusiasts.
The Hitachi
NR83A2 is an inexpensive quality nail gun that everyone in the market
should consider.
