Nail guns save work because they can drive nails quickly and efficiently. You can adjust these tools so they drive the nails to different depths. When you install asphalt roofing shingles, you want the nail head to be snug against the shingle but not driven so far that it tears through the shingle. When you drive nails into framing lumber or apply wood sheathing, you often want the top of the nail head flush with the wood surface. Building codes dictate how far a nail should be driven.

DeWALT Cordless Nail Gun Recall

Then a light bulb went off and I headed outside. I had been meaning to put house numbers back on the house after it had been repainted, but being the mistress of procrastination, I havent done it. In the mean time, I had misplaced a few of the tiny nails required to nail them up. This was a perfect job for a cordless glue gun! I switched it on and tapped my foot for about 60 seconds while I was waiting for it to heat up. When it was ready, I squirted glue blobs on each metal numeral and stuck them to a wooden post. Easy!

Toolbox like nail guns; a brand new dedicated website for Paslode nail guns released

The DeWALT recall was issued after the company received at least two reports of problems with the safety features of the Brad Nailer. The DeWALT Nailers contain a lock-off safety, which is designed to protect users from a potential risk of serious injury caused by the machine driving nails when the user is not expecting it. It has been discovered that the DeWALT DC608 Brad Nailers could eject nails even when the lock-off is in the locked position, and the nailler can operate when the trigger is not pulled and the contact trip is depressed. The nail gun recall involves about 14,000 of the DeWALT DC608 18 Volt Cordless 2 18 Gauge Straight Brad Nailers, with date codes ranging from 200728 through 200821. The code DC608 can be found on the right side of the magazine. The underside of the handle bears the date code, which can be seen when the battery pack is removed. The recall does not apply to DeWALT Nailers that have the letter M stamped next to the date code.
